Solidarity for Kodaikanal’s battle against Unilever in Durban
Residents of Durban who are part of the voluntary action group Groundwork today staged a peace picket at Unilever’s office in Newlands East, Durban, as part of the Global Day of Action Against Unilever. The solidarity workers also distributed pamphlets about Kodaikanal to Unilever workers. Megan Lewis of Groundwork says: “We managed to get the General Manager on site to sign the letter to Mr. Polman.”
The letter was signed by Desmond Mathew D’sa and Bobby Sven Peek, both recipients of the Goldman Environmental Prize for Africa
